Myth Golf & Banquets is a public golf course and wedding venue on Stoney Creek Road in Oakland Township, just north of Rochester near the Oakland–Macomb county line. It is managed by Vargo Golf Company, alongside Golden Hawk Golf & Banquets and Bruce Hills Golf Course.
27 holes in all. The 18-hole Myth Course is par 71 and 6,206 yards from the blues, with white, silver and red tees for shorter games. Narrow fairways wind through the woods, boardwalk cart paths cross wetlands, and the signature par-3 13th plays to a peninsula green. Greens, tees and fairways are bentgrass.
The Little Myth is a separate nine-hole par-3 course, 1,173 yards from the back tees, with holes from 84 to 168 yards and several carries over water. It suits beginners, families and anyone working on their short game, and books its own tee times.
Men's, women's, seniors', couples' and junior leagues, and house tournaments including the Spring Scramble, the Babe Classic and the Veterans Open. Outings for 12 to 144 players run from nine-hole scrambles to full-day tournaments, with staff handling tee assignments, cart staging, bag drop, rules and scoring. The restaurant is open to everyone, golfers or not, no reservation needed.
The barn-style hall has wooden beams, string lights and panoramic windows opening onto an outdoor patio, and seats up to 225 guests. Ceremonies can be held outdoors on the grounds or inside. Multiple bars, an in-house chef, an on-site event coordinator, a private bridal room, a hotel shuttle and a preferred vendor list are included, and couples can bring their own vendors. Weddings are booked Friday through Sunday, with lower rates in spring and winter.
The hall also hosts showers, holiday parties for 70 to 200 guests from November through February, and funeral luncheons, often on short notice.
