Golden Hawk Golf

Golden Hawk Golf & Banquets is a public golf course and event venue on Meisner Road in Casco Township, on the St. Clair–Macomb county line, a short drive from I-94, Chesterfield, Mount Clemens and New Baltimore. It is managed by Vargo Golf Company, alongside Myth Golf & Banquets and Bruce Hills Golf Course.

The course

18 holes, par 71, 6,380 yards from the blues, with white, silver and red tees for shorter games. Tree-lined fairways, ponds and bunkers guard many of the greens, and greens, tees and fairways are all bentgrass.

The practice area has a driving range with grass tees and mats, four target greens from 80 to 210 yards, a practice bunker, and putting and chipping greens. The clubhouse has a pro shop, a restaurant and bar open daily in season, and covered and open decks.

Leagues, tournaments and outings

Men's, women's, seniors', couples' and junior leagues, plus house tournaments such as the Spring Scramble and the Veterans Open. Outings run from 12 to 144 players, from nine-hole scrambles to full-day tournaments, with staff handling tee assignments, cart staging, bag drop and scoring, and a banquet to close the day. Corporate outings and charity fundraisers are regular bookings.

Weddings & banquets

The lodge-style hall has exposed wooden beams, panoramic windows over the course and an outdoor patio, and holds up to 225 guests. Ceremonies can be held outdoors next to the hall, beside the water feature, or in an indoor ceremony room. Multiple bars, an in-house chef, sound and lighting and a private bridal room are included. Weddings are booked Friday through Sunday, with lower rates in spring and winter, and couples can use the vendor list or bring their own.

The hall also hosts showers, holiday parties for 70 to 200 guests from November through February, and memorial luncheons, often on short notice.
